PEO Chapter BK STAR and Georgia Scholarships Are Now Available

PEO Chapter BK is seeking outstanding graduating Senior women candidates for two scholarships. The attached brochures for the STAR and Georgia Scholarships outline the qualifications and application procedures. The deadline to return the attached Candidate Information for PEO Scholarships form is August 31st. Those forms should be returned to me at vhinesley@bellsouth.net.

If your school has a list of scholarship opportunities, we would appreciate having these scholarships included. You may contact me if you have any questions or need further information. PEO is a Philanthropic Educational Organization that provides multiple scholarship opportunities for women. In addition to STAR, our other projects include the PEO Educational Loan Fund, PEO International Peace Scholarship, PEO Program for Continuing Education, PEO Scholar Award, and Cottey College which is a four year college for women. Please visit peointernational.org for more information.

We are able to nominate up to seven women for the Georgia Scholarship and one woman for the STAR Scholarship. Last year four local women that Chapter BK sponsored received the Georgia Scholarship and one received the STAR Scholarship. We also are able to share additional candidates with other PEO Chapters, and last year one of our referrals received the Georgia Scholarship.

Thank you so much for your past referrals, we look forward to another great group of young women to sponsor this year.

Thanks again,
