Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center is currently accepting applications for our summer Teen Volunteer Program. This is an excellent opportunity for teens who are interested in any facet of healthcare and I would love for you to encourage your high schoolers to apply.
We are looking for engaged and responsible youth to participate in a variety of departments in our hospital. In the past, we’ve had volunteers in our orthopedics unit, cardiology unit, ICU, and our nuclear medicine department. Teens volunteer 4 hours per week, in the same department each week. Our program is 8 weeks long, with the expectation that the teens will be here for at least 6 of those weeks.
Participants must be 16 by June 1, 2024. If you have a student that you think would be a good fit, but is graduating this spring, please have them reach out to me. I’d much rather have them apply through our college program for the summer (even if they aren’t starting college this fall).
