Tufts: Fly-In Program

Voices of Tufts, our signature fall fly-in program, is designed to provide seniors who attend high school in the US with firsthand exposure to diversity and community at Tufts University.

If you would like to be nominated for this fly-in opportunity, please reach out to your counselor.

About Tufts

Tufts University is a medium-sized research university just outside of Boston, Massachusetts where students are as intellectually playful as they are powerful, and are as eager to study environmental sustainability as they are Marvel comics. Tufts University meets 100% of the demonstrated financial need of all admitted students, regardless of citizenship status. Students pursue 150+ majors, minors, and programs across our School of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Learn more here.

About Voices

Voices of Tufts gives high school seniors a sense of “life on the Hill” through mock classes, conversations and panels with current students, and opportunities to connect with our eight identity-based resource centers. Tufts Admissions is planning for both an in-person Voices program and a virtual Voices program to take place during fall 2024.There is no cost to participate in Voices and, for the in-person program, Tufts Admissions will arrange for transportation at no cost for students for whom the trip to campus would be a financial hardship. Additionally, the first-year application fee will be waived for all students who are nominated for Voices and all students who apply for Voices.

Who can be nominated?

You are welcome to nominate any rising senior who attends high school in the U.S. While Voices has traditionally attracted participants with strong academic records from underrepresented backgrounds – including but not limited to students of color, first-generation college-bound students, LGBTQIA+ students, students from low-income backgrounds, students with disabilities, and students from rural communities – any student interested in learning about diversity on the Tufts campus is welcome to apply. We seek primarily to invite high-achieving students who are kind, collaborative, civically-engaged, and interested in creating a more inclusive world.Nominations are due by June 18, 2024. All nominated students will be contacted directly and encouraged to apply for Voices once the program application opens in April.

If you or your students have any questions about Voices of Tufts or about Tufts University, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to working with you and your students, and appreciate all you do to support them.
