I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the start of spring. I'm thrilled to share some exciting news out of Centre College in recent weeks. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Marlene and David Grissom '60, the Grissom Scholars Program will now cover the cost of tuition, plus room, board, and other fees for selected students. Established in 2014, the Grissom Scholars Program initially provided full-tuition scholarships, but has now expanded to include coverage of room, board, and fees, along with $5,000 in enrichment funding for each scholar. Centre College is also part of the Kessler Scholars Collaborative, a national network of first-generation focused institutions offering personal mentorship and support funding. In addition, Centre's Thrive Program provides $5,000 in flexible funding to assist first-gen students on their college journey. Together, these programs make up Centre's First-Generation Guarantee, ensuring support and resources are made available to all incoming first-gen students.
